ATOMIC TENNIS COACHING OPTIONS AND PATHWAY:

Here is a list of the coaching options provided by Atomic Tennis.

MINI ATOMS:
The first stage of Technical coaching. Here the children are aiming to rally. There is a test at the end of the course to see if the players are able to be moved into the next progression. An emphasis on all round skills also, with agility, understanding of flight paths and spins of the ball.

POCKET ROCKETS:
Here the players are starting to show more understanding of movement on court and less inclined to be helped into grips and stances. The orange player starts to develop more consistency in their ability to move the ball around and in their preparation. Developing an over arm serve and some simple tactics the player become confident to rally freely.

ATOMIC POWER:
Players within this colour are showing attributes and characteristics on court that will provide them to play in competition. This being, full court, full games with tie breaks and court etiquette. Green players must be showing signs of an all round game, with an understanding of strengths and weaknesses within their own game and the opponent's. Match tactics become more important to the individual and their style of play. The coach and player work together on this and encourage lots of rally and game based drills within the course.

PERFORMANCE AND DEVELOPMENT SQUADS:
Players who are invited to join development squads are playing more competitive tennis. Match tactics, drilling, consistency, movement and fitness make up the sessions, with more time spent on sport psychology, building the ability to control the mind, and to win.

ADULT GROUP COACHING:
Four lessons over two weeks. With small groups of only four players, these courses are tailored to the level of the group, but more on game positioning and tactics rather than technical grips and swings. Three of these courses will be held over the ten week term, allowing one week break between courses in case of rain or bad weather.
